08.13.2020 - Northern Oklahoma College Confirms First Positive COVID-19 Case on Campus August 13, 2020
Northern Oklahoma College officials have been informed today that an employee who primarily works on the Tonkawa campus has tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee has been placed in quarantine at home and NOC personnel are in communication with the Kay County Health Department who is conducting a contact tracing investigation.
NOC Officials stated, “Northern Oklahoma College will follow the guidance of national and local health officials in our response to a positive diagnosis on campus. When we receive confirmation that an NOC student or employee has had a positive COVID-19 diagnosis and has been present on campus, there are important measures that will be promptly taken including quarantine or isolation, contact tracing, communication and facility disinfection.”
According to the NOC Pandemic Response Plan, students and employees are required to immediately self-report to the appropriate campus administrator a positive COVID-19 test or a primary exposure contact with an individual who has tested positive. In addition, employees are also required to notify their immediate supervisor and the HR Director.
